Not bad eh?

I absolutely loved doing this... My friend Kristeen that you see in some of the pics (with the dark hair) has been trying to get me interested in hillwalking for years and I always made out I wasn't interested.. Well climbing Conic Hill has definitely changed that now. It was a steep climb at bits but I got there, and each time you climbed a little bit higher the views just got more and more amazing!!
I found the decent harder than the accent, my right knee got a bit sore but not too bad.. We came down the other side of the hill and carried on towards Drymen where we got the bus back to Balmaha from the Old Smithy Inn. I have never been so glad to sit down in all my life!!!
A good day was had by all :-)

Connic Hill

Well tomorrow I am going to attempt to climb Connic Hill in Balmaha...
I must admit I am feeling a wee bit nervous that I am not going to manage this one...
Will keep you posted :)

Greenock Cut

Walked the cut again today with my friend Kayrn. Got a bit muddy but was worth it to see the beautiful rainbow. Wasn't too bad weather wise after all ;-)

Getting used to kit

Whilst walking the cut yesterday I was trying out taking my rucksack with me with my camelback hydration pack in situ.
Was walking along sucking away at the water, which I was finding okay but thought the suction was a bit hard to get flowing. I was determined to persevere with it.
Part way along the trail I started to get really bad trapped wind and it was agony!
It wasn't until I stopped about an hour later that I discovered I had put it in upside down and was sooking against the flow of gravity!! Lol...Hence I must have been sooking in a lot of air! Hence the trapped wind!!! Lol

Today's walk

Today I walked the Greenock Cut. Lovely once the mist cleared. Met my old primary headteacher who is now in her 80's walking with a ramblers club!
